Ethiopian American Civic Advocacy endorses Councilman Terry Seamens (City Council Ward 4 in Takom Park, MD) in his bid for the upcoming general re-election that will be held in 2 days.

We have worked with Councilman Terry Seamens for few years. Councilman Terry Seamens is an effective and passionate advocate for Ethiopian American issues including promotion of Human Rights and Democratic Freedom in Ethiopia.

He is a Councilman we can count on to advocate for Ethiopian Americans.  As most of you know, Councilman Terry Seamens was instrumental in the Takoma City’s joint effort to pass a resolution supporting the House Bill HR 2003 (the Ethiopia Democracy and Accountability Act, at that time it was HR 5680).

Since Terry is a councilman who understands the unique needs of Ethiopian Americans and who has championed issues that are near and dear to our values, it will be very important that we make sure he gets re-elected.

We hope all Ethiopians who live in Takoma Park (City Council Ward 4)   join our effort to support the re-election of Councilman Terry Seamens.
