We thank you so much for coming out in mass!

Dear Ethiopians and Ethiopian Americans,

We, the organizers of today’s protest, would like to thank all of you for coming out today to condemn the Ethiopia’s rulers atrocities and to voice your extreme concerns to the U.S. Government.

We believe this protest is necessary in order to show our timely support to our beloved fellow Ethiopians freedom and democracy activists and political leaders who are victims of TPLF’s recent terroristic measures. We also feel it is necessary to lift their moral by showing that we are by their side every minute of the day . Likewise, we feel this protest is important to show our support and solidarity to the democracy movement and their struggle to free our country from tyranny and dictatorship.

We designate this protest not only for a mere demand to free our fellow freedom fighters but to continue their cause and carry on the struggle until our people are liberated from Meles Zenawi’s totalitarian regime. After all, that is on of the main reasons they are paying this sacrifice. We know the most recent TPLF’s victims and many others in Ethiopia are determined to pay any price for freedom.

Just like many previous protests, this protest was organized jointly by activists from different political, civic organizations and individual. We came together for our common objective, to be a voice for our voiceless people for a free and democratic Ethiopia, nothing less nothing more. We worked together seamlessly with open mindedness and respect for each other. It is possible and in fact mandatory that we Ethiopians need to stand together in the struggle for our common goals. Division is not an option. It is division that allows TPLF’s tyranny to last this far and to keep our fellow Ethiopians continue suffering.

Again, we would like to thank all of you for joining us today in such short notice. The organizers of this protest are not any closed group. We would like to invite each and every one of you to participate in our future events and programs. We are working on various other actions and we need your support in any form you can lend us.

Let us always remember the proverb by our own forefathers, when spider webs unite, they can tie up a lion” let alone a rouge regime.

God bless Ethiopia and God Bless America!

We thank you!
