March 4 Freedom New Years Candle Light Vigil
Ethiopian Americans living in DC metro began 2012 with Candle Light Vigil demanding the release of political prisoners in Ethiopia and asking the Obama administration to stop its support to tyrants ruling the country for over 20 years.
The Ethiopian gathered outside the White House for a candlelight vigil on January 1, 2012 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
March 4 Freedom stated that the reason for holding Vigil on the on New Year’s day was to renew the commitment to the struggle for human rights, press freedom, social justice and democracy in Ethiopia.
